Yibing Wu has won the U.S. Open Junior Singles and Doubles events

Global Sporting Connections Chinese youngster Yibing Wu, has made history with winning the U.S. Open Junior Singles and Doubles events. Yibing won the doubles with his Tapei partner against a Japanese pair, the match all the way to a deciding match tie-break. Yibing and his partner prevailed 11-9 in the final set to lift the doubles title on saturday evening.

It was then for the singles final which was played at 2PM local time in New York. A tough match against Wimbledon Runner-Up Axel Geller (ARG) was in the way of claiming both titles at Flushing Meadows. A feat in which he would do with a straight sets victory 64 64 to be the 2017 US Open Boys Champion.
Afterwards, Yibing thanked all his team and the Chinese people who have supported him.

Yibing flies back to China where he is playing a Challenger event this upcoming week.
